Trilobite girls for the class of fossil exhibition workshop for the curator's license. It's not my ordinary way of drawing but this time I tried several Japanese anime character styles. I designed these characters with each fossil's feature came up from discussion with other team members.
Andalusianas are characterized by their fragile while the lager size for general trilobites is also one of their features. I thus designed the character with the fragility and height.
Neoasaphus kowalewskii has unique looks with prominent stalked eyes like snails.
Asteropyge is one of the Phacopida whose big compound eyes so I added glasses on the character. The fossil also have sharp figures on its sides of the head and it became the idea of her headband.
Crotalocephalus gibbus looks like a caterpillar with its massive body. I therefore decided to design the character with "massive" shape.
Olenellus Gilberti has its eyes in the crescent form and in the workshop we had two of the fossils so I made them as a twin.
